Professor Raphael Igbinosa Adeghe

Professor Raphael Igbinosa Adeghe, Ph.D., FCNA, FCTI, JP is a distinguished scholar, seasoned financial consultant, and veteran administrator with over thirty-five (35) years of post-graduation experience spanning the public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy. He is a Professor of Finance at the Igbinedion University, Okada. He serves as a vital asset to the Board, bringing an exceptional blend of academic excellence and deep institutional knowledge in regulatory auditing, corporate governance, and sustainable finance. He holds the Ph.D. degree in Finance from Igbinedion University, Okada, M.Sc. Economics / M.Sc. Banking & Finance, and B.Sc. Economics degrees all from the University of Benin, Nigeria. He earned the Leadership Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh, USA in addition to a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the Nigeria College of Accountancy, Jos. He is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA), Fellow Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI), and Fellow Centre for African American Research Studies (FCAARS).

He rose to become the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Okada (2022–2025), following nearly a decade of service as Dean of the College of Business and Management Studies.

Professor Adeghe was appointed a Justice of Peace (JP) by the Edo State Government in 2004. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Youth and Vulnerable Person Survival Initiative (YAVPSI), an NGO dedicated to community empowerment. He is happily married to Dr. (Mrs.) Felicia Itohan Adeghe and blessed with children.
